Domains Management
The Beautiful Consent banner (CMP) will only be displayed in those sites that meet two main requirements:
- Have the plugin installed via one of our installation methods.
- Have a domain that is covered by a Domain Alias.
If your website does not meet those requirements, the banner won't be displayed.
Adding a new Domain Alias
A domain alias is an additional domain name that points to the same content and services as your primary domain within the Visible Privacy Playboard.
You can have as many aliases as admitted by your Billing plan. Check our pricing plans and conditions here. All aliases associated to an organization contribute towards the Consents Interactions (Billing quota). You can learn more at Understanding how billing works
Example of a Domain Alias
To create an alias, you can enter a full domain (e.g., blog.example.com
) or use wildcards (e.g., .*example.*
).
Important Note: Adding a new domain alias means that all privacy rules and personalisation settings will be applied to the new domain.
Once a new alias is added, you'll be able to use Beautiful Consent at that location.
I've added a new Alias and my banner is not displayed
Installing at sepparated websites
If you have created a domain alias and you don't see the banner deployed in that location, you might need to review a couple of things.
If that new alias represents a different "website" (i.e., a blog.example.com
that is a WordPress blog for a example.com
online shop which is a Shopify), you will need to install the plugin again into that new location with the appropriate installation guide.
In case of Google Tag Manager (GTM) installations:
if you share the same GTM container between several websites (i.e., a blog.example.com
WordPress blog for a example.com
Shopify), you won't need to install it again, as they share the same GTM tag, container and ID.
My banner is still not displayed
If you have checked the previous cases, and the banner is still not displayed in your webpage, you must check if the domain of that site is covered by one of the Domain Alias that you have in your organization.
Example
If you have the module actively displayed in your site example.com
, with 2 Domain Alias: example.com
and blog.example.com
.
If you try to install the module in a new site newsite.com
, without the appropriate Domain Alias, the banner simply won't show itself at the site, even if you install it.
