Dashboard Overview
The Visible Privacy Playboard dashboard is your central hub for monitoring privacy compliance, tracking user interactions, and analyzing consent data. The dashboard provides real-time insights into your website's privacy performance and helps you maintain GDPR compliance.
Dashboard States
Initial Setup State (Inactive Dashboard)
When you first access your Playboard (before installing the plugin) or when no data has been collected yet, you'll see the inactive dashboard state. This view helps you understand what needs to be configured and provides guidance for getting started.
Status Panel:
- Configuration: ✅ Plugin is properly configured and ready to use
- Installation: ❌ Plugin is not installed in the default domain
- Verification: ❌ You might be at risk as no consent is collected
Active Dashboard State (Live Data)
Once your Visible Privacy plugin is installed and collecting data, the dashboard transforms to show real-time analytics and insights.
Understanding Your Metrics
Display Metrics
- Displays: Shows the total number of times your consent banner has been displayed to website visitors.
- A display is counted only if the user had never interacted with the banner (i.e., they have the
BCConsentcookie in their session).

- Interaction Rate: Indicates the percentage of displays that ended in an active engage with your privacy banner (accept, reject, or customize settings).
Consent Analytics
- Consents: Displays the total count of consent decisions collected from users (including both acceptances and rejections).
- Opt-In/Consent Rate: Shows the percentage of visitors who accept your cookie and privacy policies out of all interactions.
Interaction Balance
The interaction balance chart provides insights into user behavior:
- Interactions: Users who actively engage with your consent banner
- Ignores: Users who dismiss or ignore the consent banner
- Trend Analysis: Growth or decline percentages help you understand performance changes
If you see a significant mismatch between displays and interactions, you must take into account that the counted displays also count bots and crawlers that visit your page in an autonomous way.
Status Monitoring
The status panel helps you maintain compliance and optimal performance:
Configuration Status:
- Indicates whether your privacy plugin is properly configured
- Shows if all required settings are in place
Installation Status:
- Confirms whether the plugin is active on your domain
- Alerts you if installation is incomplete
Verification Status:
- Monitors active consent collection
- Warns if no consent data is being gathered
