Implementing Visible Privacy with PrestaShop
Visible Privacy offers a comprehensive solution for managing cookie consent on PrestaShop websites. This guide will walk you through the process of installing and configuring the Visible Privacy module for PrestaShop.
Prerequisites
Before beginning, ensure you have:
- An active PrestaShop site.
- Administrator access to your PrestaShop back office.
- Your Visible Privacy Client ID (available from your Visible Privacy account).
Installing the Visible Privacy Module
Download the Module
Download the latest Visible Privacy module ZIP file from here.
Install the Module
In your PrestaShop back office, go to Modules > Module Manager. Click Upload a module at the top right. Drag and drop or select the downloaded ZIP file to upload. Once uploaded, click Install if not installed automatically.
Configure the Module
After installation, locate Visible Privacy in your module list and click Configure. Enter your Client ID from your Visible Privacy account. It will have a format like XXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX. Save your changes.
Use the Visible Privacy Playboard to adjust any additional settings for the consent banner appearance and behavior as desired.
After configuring the module, clear your site cache (if applicable) and test the consent banner and script blocking on your site.
